Mission

MISSION STATEMENT

The Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug and Alcohol Commission believes in a comprehensive, supportive, and effective approach in dealing with substance use disorders in our society.
Our philosophy is based on the concept that substance use disorder is a disease characterized by the repetitive and compulsive ingestion of any mood-altering substance which impacts the individual’s health, marital status, career, interpersonal relationships, and societal adaptations.
The Commission is committed to providing awareness and access to prevention, intervention, education, and treatment services in our communities to help those affected by substance use disorders obtain the support necessary to achieve a better quality of life.

VISION STATEMENT

To promote a community where recovery matters and strength and dignity is given to those affected by drug and alcohol use.

History

The Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug & Alcohol Commission was incorporated in 1985 as a nonprofit charitable and educational institution- 501(c)(3) and serves as the Single County Authority for Carbon, Monroe, and Pike counties
